Tomorrow the notice of initiation of the procedure for the affixing of the pre-arranged constraint to the expropriation and the declaration of public utility will be published in the national and territorial newspapers of Sicily and Calabria, which will be sanctioned with the approval of the definitive project of the bridge over the Strait of Messina by Cipess. We read it in a note from the Strait of Messina. The publication is an act following the approval by the company’s board of directors of the update of the final project of the work, the delivery of the project documents to the ministries and authorities and the start of the services conference.
For 60 days, starting from next April 8, those whose assets are affected by the expropriation procedures for the bridge over the Strait will be able to contact technical personnel for assistance, by making a telephone appointment and making their observations. Interested citizens must book an appointment at the numbers: 06.85826210 – 06.85826230 – 06.85826270, at the following “Information desks”: – Messina at the Palacultura Sala Rappazzo (ground floor) located in Viale Boccetta 373, Monday from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm; Tuesday and Wednesday from 9.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00, excluding public holidays. – Villa San Giovanni at the former headquarters of the Magistrates Court located in via Nazionale Bolano 541, Thursday from 9.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00, Friday from 9.00 to 13.00, excluding public holidays.
«In order to guarantee the widest dissemination of information – the company also explains – the notice, accompanied by the parcel plan and the list of owner companies, will also be published on the institutional websites of the Calabria Region, the Sicilian Region, the Stretto of Messina as well as posted on the notice boards of the municipalities affected by the implementation of the intervention. This intermediate phase, linked to the publication of the notice, will allow all interested parties to view the documentation relating to the expropriation plan and formulate any observations. In this context, the Stretto di Messina company will open “Information desks” both in Messina and in Villa San Giovanni, in dedicated spaces made available by the respective municipalities, to provide the necessary support for the analysis of the documentation”.
Good-natured procedure
The interested parties involved can provide any useful element to determine the value of the asset that will be expropriated. The Stretto di Messina Company – the company itself specifies – promotes a “good-natured procedure” whose objective is to “safeguard the interests of the parties”.
For land, within 60 days of the amicable agreement, 80% of the compensation will be paid while the remaining 20% will be paid at the time of the deed. Upon payment of 80% you have “placement in possession”. The transfer of ownership occurs at the time of the notarial deed.
