Bricklayers who compete in the Caaguazú National Championship will access positions in the construction industry

Asunción, IP Agency.- The National Bricklayers Championship, Caaguazú edition, is promoted through the sponsorship of the Ministry of Public Works, which is promoted as a government plan for the training of workers and to have a database for the construction sector at the national level.

This event will take place this Saturday, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Caaguazú Government headquarters. It has the support of the Departmental Government and private construction companies.

The Minister of Public Works, Claudia Centurión, reported that the ministerial portfolio that she presides will guarantee the continuity of the work and the growth in this trade, through an ambitious government plan, whose main actors are the bricklayers.

Plan includes great missionary works

He highlighted that workers will have the possibility of accessing missionary plans such as major routes and bridges, hospitals and schools throughout the country; as well as in the upcoming construction of 1,500 homes in the Tacumbú neighborhood.

In that sense, he stressed that these large works will need strong and trained workers, which is why the MOPC is fully committed to the National Masonry Championship, which will not only constitute recognition for the workers, but also training for the sector.

Centurión highlighted that by participating in the event, bricklayers will be able to be part of a large database of workers in the sector to access work more quickly.

Almost 30 teams registered to participate in the championship

For his part, the governor of Caaguazú, Marcelo Soto, reported that to date 27 teams have registered for the National Masons Championship, in its Caaguazú edition that will take place this Saturday and Sunday.

He mentioned that they also invited the workers’ families to participate in this event, which will have several attractions.

Departmental government will work with municipalities and construction firms

On the other hand, Soto highlighted that they will access the database of the bricklayers who will participate in the competition in order to interact from the Departmental Government with the municipalities and the suppliers of works, whether classrooms, construction of perimeter fences. He maintained that builders or masons trained with the latest technologies available on the market are always required.
