Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz and SV Ried have at least not allowed the gap in respect to league leaders GAK in the 2nd football league to increase. The Vorarlbergers celebrated a 3-1 (1-1) win at Admira in the 15th round on Saturday and are still ten points behind the Red Jackets, who had already won 3-2 in Kapfenberg on Friday. Ried won 2-0 (1-0) in Dornbirn and is eleven points behind the top with one game less.
Bregenz took the lead early in the Südstadt through Murat Satin (7′), but had to accept the equalizer from Albin Gashi (24′) before the break. David Flores restored the lead following just over an hour (62′), Satin made the final score from the penalty spot in stoppage time (98′). Shortly before, the Admirans Wilhelm Vorsager (92nd) and Andrej Stevanovic (97th) had seen the red card. Ried crowned a superior performance in Dornbirn with goals from Oliver Steurer (25th) and Belmin Beganovic (51st). It was the sixth win in the last eight games (2 draws).
In the third Saturday game, Liefering achieved a real breakthrough following ten winless appearances. The away game in Lafnitz was a shooting festival, not least thanks to a triple pack from Adam Daghim (8th, 44th, 63rd) and a double from Phillip Verhounig (15th, 22nd). The duel ended with a 6:1 (4:0) triumph for the Young Bulls, the only Alex Reed goal by Edon Murataj (90th) came just before the final whistle.
