Breanna Stewart has revolutionized the free agent market following recently committing to the New York Liberty following six seasons with the Seattle Storm where she was proclaimed a two-time ring winner and two-time Finals MVP.
Stewart returns to his native New York to try to give the Liberty the first ring in their history. She, but she will not be alone, since prior to her signing they closed the arrival of the MVP of 2021 Jonquel Jones. They also have the young promise Sabrina Ionescu, a Big Three Fearsome that will undoubtedly be the great rival for the other great team in the league: Las Vegas Ace, with Candace Parker and Alysha Clark as their main signings on the market.
A winning DNA
Stewart, 28, was born in the New York town of Syracuse, and trained at UConn between 2012 and 2016, landed in the WNBA through the 1st pick of the 2016 Draft, being selected by the Seattle Storm.
With the Seattle team, he has won the champions ring twice (2018 and 2020) and also twice with his respective MVP of the Finals. Likewise, she was also designated as MVP of the 2018 regular season; she has been selected four times to play the All-Star, she was Rookie of the Year 2016, and the competition’s top scorer in 2022.
In Seattle he played 183 official games (all as a starter) with figures of 20.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks in 30.9 minutes per day.
Lastly, with Team USA he has obtained two Olympic golds in London 2016 and Tokyo 2020; he has also won the basketball world cup in Turkey, Spain and Australia three times; and was a silver medalist at the 2015 Pan American Games held in Toronto.
