Breaking the Streak: Estonia’s Struggle for Victory in International Competitions

While the Red Devils have just punched their ticket for Euro 2024, their 6th consecutive major competition, in the same group, Estonia is experiencing much more complicated qualifications. With just one draw and zero wins in six matches, the Estonians bring up the rear of Group F with a small point.

All competitions combined, Estonia remains on 7 consecutive matches without a victory. A significant figure but almost paltry compared to the recent results of certain other nations. The X account “The Sweeper” compiled this Monday the longest series without victories of the different UEFA nations. Unsurprisingly, we only find “small” nations, used to squatting in the depths of their qualifying group.

At the head of the gondola of these countries which are desperately chasing a victory, San Marino sits far, very far ahead of the competition. The San Marino have not won a single official match since 2004, the year they beat Liechtenstein to sign the one and only victory in their history. From ? 133 matches without winning.

Speaking of Liechtenstein, the 6th smallest country in the world has, for its part, not won a single match in 32 matches. This is the 2nd longest current series ahead of Andorra (11), the Faroe Islands (10), Bulgaria (8), Cyprus (8), Gibraltar (7) and Estonia, which we talked regarding earlier.
