Madrid: Christian Roberto Lopez Rodríguez ran a 100m sprint wearing high heels. Setting a new record for himself, the 34-year-old ran 100 meters (328 feet) in 12.82 seconds wearing 2.76-inch stiletto heels.

In 2019, Andre Ortolf of Germany, who ran 100 meters in high heels, completed the race in 14.02 seconds and obtained the record. Rodriguez beat Andre Ortolfil’s achievement to become the Guinness World Record holder.

After winning the Guinness World, Rodríguez responded that the preparation for the competition was very thorough and precise. Running at high speed in high heels is very challenging. But I am proud to have won there.

Also, participating in such competitions boosts confidence. Christian added that he attempted the record to prove that diabetic patients like him can do as much or more than non-diabetics. Competitions of this type are often held in Spain.
