Hartford police said they are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the area of Main Street on Friday.

HARTFORD — A man who had been stabbed in the back sought help at a fire station on Main Street on Friday morning, a fire official said.
A man walked into the Engine Company 2 Fire Station with a minor stab wound at regarding 6:08 a.m. Friday, said Mario Oquendo Jr., district chief of the Hartford Fire Department.
Firefighters helped control the man’s bleeding until an ambulance arrived to help, according to Oquendo.
Hartford police Public Information Officer Aaron Boisvert said the stabbing had occurred nearby and was still under investigation by city police.
