The Public Ministry continues to lead the proceedings to clarify the murder of a young woman of Venezuelan nationality who was shot last Saturday in Ovalle.
According to information collected by El Día, in the early morning hours a woman She was attacked with a firearm near the Copec service station, at the intersection of Socos and Victoria streets, in the center of the community.
As a result of the ballistic impact, the victim died at the scene, summoning emergency teams and the police to the scene, where a series of tests and procedures were carried out for hours to elucidate the case.

The woman, apparently in an irregular immigration situation in Chile, was identified as Maira Gabriela Martínez Graterol.
According to the data available, the young woman was with a man loading fuel at the gas station aboard the motorcycle they were traveling on.

El Día sources indicate that the man was hiding in a nearby bush, waiting for his victims.

After learning of the homicide this Saturday, the provincial presidential delegate of Limarí, Marily Escobar Oviedo, He referred to the case and the security problems in the area.
“From the Provincial Presidential Delegation of Limarí we had a dialogue with police regarding the case, where it was confirmed that the terrible event occurred during the night,” indicated the authority.
“The victim was a 19-year-old woman and the event has already been passed to the Public Ministry, and there is support from all the police,” he added.
