Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton received his first non-racing warning of the season and a fine of 50 thousand euros.
After retiring at the first corner following colliding with George Russell, the seven-time world champion climbed out of the cockpit, ran to the other side of the track and then walked towards the pit lane. The stewards considered that it was very dangerous to cross the track, especially since Russell passed in that place a few seconds following Lewis’s run.
For his actions, Lewis received a warning and a fine of 50 thousand euros, of which 25 thousand must be paid, and the second half will have to be paid for a similar violation until the end of the 2023 season.
