Jeddah | Big drug hunt in Saudi Arabia. An attempt to smuggle narcotic amphetamine tablets through Jeddah port has been foiled, the Ministry of Interior said.
Authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle 1.27 crore amphetamine pills through the Jeddah Islamic port in Matala Laman.
Four people were arrested in connection with the incident. Two of them are Egyptian nationals and the other two are from Syria and Yemen. The accused were arrested, preliminary legal proceedings were taken and handed over to the public prosecution.
