Breaking News: Lady Sneaks into Royal Palace and Takes a Nap – How Did She Do It?

2024-01-20 14:26:00

At the beginning of the week, we informed you that a lady, apparently disoriented, had managed to enter the Royal Palace. Later, we learned that she had been found sleeping.

But then the question arises: how did this woman manage to sneak into the palace to take a little nap? According to the Flemish daily Het Nieuwsblad, she entered through the BELvue museum, located right next to the Royal Palace.

Originally, the museum, dedicated to the history of Belgium, was a former hotel acquired by King Leopold II for his youngest daughter, Princess Clementine. The building then underwent work and was directly connected to the palace.

No police surveillance was in place in front of the museum, unlike the Royal Palace. “I don’t deny it,” replied the director of the BELvue museum, An Lavens, to Nieuwsblad. “Following the incident, the Palace and the police met immediately. We agreed on new protocols, and we can assure you that this will not happen once more,” she said.
