Before the production models are manufactured in Douai, a few kilometers from the Belgian border, the very first electric Renault 5s are manufactured at the Prototype Production Center in the Paris region. A mini-factory in Renault’s technocentre which makes it possible to validate assembly processes in “real” production factories. In total, regarding sixty copies will be built to be “tested in extreme conditions and over many kilometres, to refine the services for the benefit of future customers”.
