Yesterday, he began receiving applications for candidacy for the presidency and membership of the non-profit institutions Al-Hilal, Al-Nasr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly, which own 25 percent of the ownership of clubs, of which the Public Investment Fund acquired 75 percent, as part of the investment and privatization project for Saudi clubs.
The candidacy period lasts for three days, ending tomorrow, provided that the elections will be held during the general assembly in these four clubs, on June 22.
This comes following Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, announced last Monday during the Saudi Clubs Privatization Conference that the boards of directors of Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly clubs will consist of 7 members, 5 of whom are appointed by the Public Investment Fund. In addition to two other members of the board of directors of the non-profit organization, provided that one of them is the chairman of the board of directors of the club.
