Breaking News Consumer price 37↑ in February… 3rd rise for 5 months in a row

The National Statistical Office announced on the 4th that the consumer price index in January recorded 105.30 (2020 = 100), an increase of 3.7% from the same month last year.

It is the fifth month since October of last year that the price level recorded 3%. Consumer price inflation recorded 3.2% in October last year, 3.8% in November and 3.7% in December. In January, it increased by 3.6% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Statistics Korea explained, “Industrial products, services, livestock and fishery products, electricity, gas, and water all rose, up 3.7 percent overall.”
