Celine Dion suffers from “Stiff Person Syndrome”. Since the cancellation of her world tour in May, the singer has not commented on her condition. However, her sister Claudette has now revealed few details regarding the musician’s health.
In December 2022, Celine Dion announced that she had a terminal illness. As a result, she had to cancel her world tour completely.
The 55-year-old singer was diagnosed with “Stiff Person Syndrome”. Symptoms of the disease are cramps that severely limit mobility. So far, the Canadian has not given any details regarding her current condition, but her sister Claudette (74) is now doing so.
“She works hard”
Claudette Dion appeared on the Quebec show “Bonsoir Bonsoir” and revealed that Celine is currently trying everything to get the symptoms under control: “We’re all keeping our fingers crossed and I can understand that people are worried.” And adds: “She works hard and we are confident that we will be successful.”
In a statement in May – as she canceled her tour – Dion said: “Touring can be very difficult, even when you’re 100 percent fit.”
