LBitcoin climbed to $73,664 on Wednesday, setting a new record for the fourth time in six days.
This increase is due in particular to the approval by the American financial markets regulator (SEC) of a new placement accessible to a wider public.
Net daily inflows into U.S. exchange-traded funds (ETFs) topped $1 billion on Tuesday for the first time, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
As issuers purchase large quantities of bitcoin to support their ETFs, the overall circulating supply of the cryptocurrency has begun to decline.
Bitcoin, whose value increased by 3% in one day and 10% in one week, is approaching a symbolic threshold of $75,000, which has never before been reached.
