As of 9 p.m. on the 12th, the number of new confirmed coronavirus infections (COVID-19) in Korea has exceeded 50,000.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as Seoul, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases nationwide from 00:00 to 9pm on the same day was 52,957.
There were 32,789 new confirmed cases in the metropolitan area alone, including 16,665 in Gyeonggi, 11,901 in Seoul, and 4,223 in Incheon. In non-metropolitan areas, Busan 2848, Daegu 2254, Gyeongbuk 2058, Chungnam 1874, Jeonbuk 1644, Daejeon 1476, Gwangju 1450, Chungbuk 1331, Gyeongnam 1320, Jeonnam 1181, Gangwon 985, Ulsan 806 , 20,168 including 551 in Jeju and 390 in Sejong were confirmed.
Over the past week (6th to 11th), daily new confirmed cases were 38,688 → 35,281 → 36,717 → 49,552 → 54,121 → 53,926 → 54,941. The average number is regarding 46,175.
