Washington: The shooter who killed 18 people in Maine, USA, is dead. The police was searching for him for three days. 40-year-old Robert Card was found dead. Maine Public Safety Commissioner Michael Swaschuck said it is suspected that he committed suicide.

Earlier, the US police had given instructions to people to stay at home in case the suspect who did the shooting was not caught. Janet Mills, the governor of Maine, said that the suspect’s body was found in Lisbon, USA. His body was found near a river in Lisbon. He added that he was relieved that there were no untoward incidents last night.

The shooting took place at Schmengee’s Bar and Grill restaurant and Sparetime Recreation bowling center in Lewiston around 7 pm on Wednesday. After the massacre, a massive search was launched for the suspect who escaped under the cover of darkness.

In the statement issued by the police, it was said that the man, who was a firearms trainer in the army’s reserve unit, spent two weeks in a mental health center this year. After the shooting, businesses in Lewiston, a small city of 38,000 people, were closed. The authorities had also instructed the people to stay at home.
