Hisashi Funaoka, a male anchor of NHK Sapporo TV Bureau in Japan, took advantage of a business trip to Tokyo headquarters on the 17th. After work, he secretly followed a young female anchor in the station and broke into the woman’s home. Fortunately, he was discovered by another man in the woman’s home. After the two got into a scuffle, the suspect jumped from the third floor on the spot in order to escape the scene. He was also injured and sent to the hospital and was arrested after being discharged from the hospital. According to “Fuji News Network” and daily reports, the 47-year-old Hisaoka Funaoka works in the NHK Sapporo TV Bureau and is mainly responsible for sports broadcasting. Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, he loves sports, so after graduating from Waseda University, he returned to his hometown and joined NHK as a sports anchor.

His colleagues of Funaoka said that because of his excellent ability, he was highly valued by the chief, and he was often praised for his serious work. It is reported that although there are nearly 500 anchors in NHK, only 30 people can be selected to be responsible for broadcasting the Olympic Games each time, and these dozens of people are constantly rotated every time, the threshold is extremely high, and Hisaoka Funaoka is one of them. This shows that he is also “the elite of the elite”.
On the 21st, NHK also announced on its official website that Hisaoka Funaoka had been arrested, and at the same time issued a statement of apology. Hisaoka Funaoka joined the company in 1999 and has broadcast competitive gymnastics for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and figure skating for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
