SAM, Samsung’s digital influencer who was born in the virtual world and became “real”, was present during the launch events of the brand’s latest mobile devices throughout Latin America: Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Watch line6 and the Galaxy Tab S9 line, in actions carried out throughout Latin America.
SAM spoke live with presenters of the Lives Shop organized by Samsung in Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Peru and Argentina. In Colombia, she was also present on the stage of a giant music festival, the “Flip & Fold Music Fest”, which brought together around 7,000 people at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá.

The influencer connected to these events directly from Seoul, South Korea, from where she covered the global launch event for the new devices, the Galaxy Unpacked, held on July 26. From there, SAM was also the main correspondent on Samsung’s social networks, providing first-hand details of launches and her impressions of Samsung’s home country.
In Latin America, the audience’s approval ratings for SAM’s live participation came as a surprise. The countries where SAM was “present” reported a positive impact after the participation of the digital influencer. In Mexico, for example, positive comments during the Live Shop increased by 30% during SAM’s appearance, demonstrating the influencer’s strong connection with the local public and the impact she brings to the Samsung brand.

Breaking the barrier between the physical and online worlds during the live event, SAM was presented using motion and sound capture technology – developed through Samsung’s partnership with Sidia Instituto de Ciência e Tecnologia (one of the largest science institutes in and technology from Brazil).

The motion capture technology works from a real person, with a video image with the graphic representation of the SAM. At the same time, the person responsible for “giving voice” to the digital influencer participates and interacts, generating impact with the public.
