Cortés highlighted the importance of the 2023 runoff, which he defined as “historic” and added: “They are two different models, one is the national model that has been trying to move Argentina forward., and another to break everything. It seems to me – and to many people – that No matter how tired we are, there is a Constitution and we must respect it.”.

The business leader who was elected in September to take over the Municipality of Bariloche as of December 8, was careful to mention his preferences in this election today, although weeks ago he had announced his vote for Massa. Today he showed up to vote on a motorcycle and accompanied by his daughter and some of his collaborators.

He said that Bariloche, despite having a different situation due to the rise of tourism, has “the same problems as all Argentines.”

He noted that “Argentina is experiencing a difficult bottleneck, it cannot take off, but all this has been carried out by the same political system”.

The future mayor noted that “Bariloche needs provincial and national supportthat they do not give Bariloche the 5% as they are giving it that returns from the taxes that people in the province pay, we need more money to come, we also need national support,” he stated and said that at the beginning of Its management will be managed with its own resources and with an “austere model.”

Asked regarding specific requests to the Nation for the city, Cortés mentioned among his priorities infrastructure works to guarantee the supply of drinking water in the neighborhoods, also a road development and also placed his initiative to build a tram to facilitate transit from the center to Llao Llao.

At this point he said he did not have cost details, but assured that the technicians who arrived weeks ago, responsible for the tourist train project in Jujuy, saw the installation of a tram as “viable” and the values will be defined once the project is carried out. .

Cortés did not spare criticism of the outgoing mayor Gustavo Gennuso and reiterated his discomfort with the transition process because he is not informed of the real numbers of the municipality, especially the state of debt.

Hours before, Gennuso voted, also in the western area of Bariloche, and left a message to calm fear among citizens: “Democracy is not at risk,” he stated and highlighted the “robust” system that the country has.
