Brazilian star Neymar expresses his desire to stay in Paris

Brazilian star Neymar has confirmed that his desire is to stay in Paris Saint-Germain, amid reports that he may leave the team.

Neymar has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Chelsea in the English Premier League, in addition to Italian Juventus.

“I would like to stay in Paris,” Neymar said in an interview with reporters, who is three years away from the end of his contract with the Parisian team.

He added: “I don’t know anything about the club since they didn’t tell me anything, I have a contract for several years here, so far no one has told me anything.”

Neymar was with his team that fell at the Bernabeu last season, when Karim Benzema scored three goals (hat-trick) to lead Real Madrid to overtake Paris Saint-Germain, who was leading 2-0, in the last 16 of the Champions League last season.

Neymar was booed in the team’s next home game after the collapse against Real Madrid, which reportedly led the 30-year-old to look for a new challenge.

Despite this, Neymar expressed his eagerness for the new season with Christoph Galtier, who took over from Mauricio Pochettino, who left the team.

Neymar explained: “I feel good after spending the holidays in my country, for everyone we have to train hard to develop as a team, the truth is that everything is fine.”

He concluded: “I have nothing to prove to anyone, I love playing football and I am happy.”
