Brazilian recovers AirPods thanks to the Buscar app

We recently published one of the many recent accounts of people who have managed to get their AirPods following they have been lost or stolen. Now, let’s talk regarding the case of the Brazilian Paulo Ribeirowho didn’t rest until he got his hands back on his pair of headphones.

In a report published in a thread no Twitterhe stated that he forgot his AirPods Pro at the gym and, following realizing what had happened, began to monitor the location of the device using the application Look for (Find My). As the gym’s management was unwilling to resolve the problem, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Ten days following the incident, he noticed that the headphones were in a location very close to his and went to the location indicated by the app – a business address. There, when he ran into a salesperson and remembered having seen him at the gym, he activated the option to play a sound on the AirPods, which were in the pocket of the man in question, through Buscar.

According to Paulo, when he showed the screenshots indicating that he had been tracking the location of the AirPods for days, the man was “shocked” and even without reaction for a moment. “I thought he was going to pass out, really. It was hyper embarrassing,” he said.

An important detail is that the seller was using the headphones connected to a smartphone with Android — which means he didn’t get the message that is displayed on the iPhone of someone who finds a pair of AirPods defined as “lost” by the owner. In any case, nothing would have stopped him from handing the headphones over to the academy itself when he found him.

Despite claiming that he would never let his AirPods Pro “be there”, Paulo does not recommend that other people act on their own in cases like his. “I might have gotten hurt,” he acknowledged.

Fortunately, the ending was positive, right?!
