The Brazilian Dr. Rafaela Guarise is participating in actions in the area of charitable projects, in addition to global health and business projects, in Chicago, Illinois, one of the largest cities in the United States. Elected leader of the Movimento Mulheres do Brasil, Núcleo Chicago, the Brazilian woman leads projects that benefit approximately 10,000 Brazilian women residing in the region.
A lifetime member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Society, an international society that recognizes and honors significant personalities in the world of global business, Dr. Rafaela develops projects that aim to train and include Brazilian women in the American job market and economy.
In the USA for four years, the Brazilian, who works with global health and business projects at Sysmex, is a member of institutions accredited by AACSB International – “The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business”. “Working for a global company that works with diagnostic technologies around the world, in addition to being a huge challenge, was chosen by Forbes as the most innovative company in the world in 2017, it is rewarding”, comments Dr. Rafaela.
This whole movement, in favor of women residing in the Midwest of the USA, works with outplacement and professional growth in the country, from studying to continuing a career and/or opening your own company abroad, guidance for changing careers, tools to learn a new skill or validate an existing career, functioning and particularities of the labor market (laws, available education, promotion of the Brazilian community abroad), emphasis on Brazil x Midwest, laws and regulations of each state, starting with those with more Brazilians, autonomy and financial independence.
The BCHF (Brazilian Community Heritage Foundation), in partnership with the Brazilian Times newspaper, annually promotes the “Notable Brazilians Award”, since 2010.
The award is recognized nationally and internationally, candidates are chosen by state and the criterion to be analyzed is the level of importance for the Brazilian community. In this case, Dr. Rafaela Mattoso Guarise represents Illinois, with the Gold Trophy and her more than 4,100 votes in the Health and Business category, as an immigrant with different projects living in the country.
Recently Dr. Rafaela was also invited by the CEO of IDL Ventur, Flavia Andrade, to work with project management and mentor Technology Startups in the initiative that seeks to benefit immigrants and companies around the world.
