Today, the winners of the 16th edition of iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS). Since 2007, the prestigious competition has celebrated the best photos taken with iPhones and iPads around the world.
the mexican Ivan Silva was the main highlight of this year, receiving the grand prize — maximum prize, as the name says — for your “Hero” image (“Hero”), which portrays a boy who seems to feel on top of the world. His picture was taken with a iPhone 12 Pro.

First place in the Photographer of the Year Award went to Thea Mihufrom Germany, for its image entitled “Village of Soy Sauce” (“Soy Sauce Village”). The photo uses a formal approach to intensify the scene’s sense of solitude and focus.
Sasa Borozanfrom Bosnia and Herzegovina, won second place with “Domando as Ondas” (“Taming Waves”), while third place went to the American Derek Hagerwith the photo “Morning in Tucson” (“Tucson Morning”).

In addition, the competition awarded the top three in 14 other categories, including photographers from different parts of the world, such as Sweden, China, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Australia and Brazil.
More precisely, the Brazilian Adriano Mendes de Carvalho won third place in the “People” category with the photo “Senhor do Vento”. The image was captured in Buenos Aires, Argentina, using a iPhone XS.
