The Brazilian Air Force intercepted a helicopter from Venezuela that entered the country’s airspace without authorization and was carrying about 240 kilos of “skunk,” a highly psychoactive variety of cannabis, official sources reported on Tuesday.
The aircraft was intercepted on Monday afternoon by two Brazilian A-29 Super Tucano fighter planes and an H-60 Black Hawk helicopter as it approached Manaus, the largest city in the Brazilian Amazon, the FAB, which is responsible for the operation together with the Brazilian Federal Police, said in a statement.
