Projective research conducted by National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) highlight the potential of the Brazilian logistics sector to improve its efficiency and competitiveness in the global market, pointing to the capacity of the country’s continuously developing port and transport infrastructure.
According to data provided by Ministry of Foreign AffairsGermany is one of Brazil’s main trading partners in Europe, and Europe as a whole is the second largest destination for Brazilian exports.
The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) also emphasizes the importance of market diversification for the Brazilian economy and strengthening of the industrial sector. The business mission in the logistics sector, with a focus on Germany and Europe, represents a strategy to reduce dependence on specific markets and explore new business opportunities in different regions.
The Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) has been carrying out studies since 2013 that demonstrate that the logistics sector plays a fundamental role in the economic development of Brazil, which has sought new export markets to promote increased production and competitiveness in the quest to generate more jobs and boost the growth of the economy.
