O Bank of Brazil must implement technology tap on phone. As reported by the Mobile Time portal, the institution is carrying out a pilot test with this feature in partnership with Cielo. In this sense, the initiative has the participation of a restricted group of companies that are clients of the bank.
For those who don’t know, this functionality allows the cell phone to be used as a POS machine to receive contactless payments from debit or credit cards. The function could be accessed through the bank’s application, the payment hub called BB Pay.
In the case of Banco do Brasil, purchases worth up to R$200 will not require a password. At values above this, the user will need to type the password on a dynamic keyboard on the cell phone screen, using the physical card. It is also not necessary to enter the password if payment is made with a digital wallet (Google Wallet, Samsung Pay).
