A Spanish court has rejected Brazilian star Dani Alves’ request for bail in the rape case. The lawyer’s request to be released from prison before the trial was rejected saying that he might be deported to Brazil.
The case once morest Alves is that he molested the young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona on December 30. With the Barcelona High Court rejecting the bail plea, the actor may approach the higher court.
The prosecution says that the investigation in the case has progressed a lot and there is evidence once morest Alves and it will not be easy to return him for trial if he is deported to Brazil. However, even though the actor agreed to surrender his passport and attach an electronic tag around his neck to identify where he went, the court did not give permission.
Prosecution claims that the star with high financial status takes shortcuts to leave the country.
Alves, one of Barcelona’s legendary players, has appeared in 408 matches in the club’s jersey. During this time, he won the La Liga title six times and the Champions League three times. The star, who has appeared in PSG and Juventus jerseys, was most recently a member of the Brazil team in the Qatar World Cup.
