Brazil national soccer team member Auves reunites with former Korean colleague during visit to Korea

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Dongchan Kim = The eldest brother of the Brazilian national football team, Dani Auves (39, FC Barcelona), reunited with a good old friend during his visit to Korea.

On the 30th, Auvez posted an old photo that appears to have been taken in 2001 on his social media.

Then, he said, “Life is a beautiful story,” and “I met a friend I knew when I was playing for the Bahia team 21 years ago during my visit to Korea once more.”

Auves also said, “It brings back many memories,” he said. “Especially in the past, he lent me shoes, and this friend’s parents were very kind to me.”

A former Korean colleague whom Auvez met while staying in Korea for a friendly match with the Korean national team on June 2nd, was Kim Sang-deok, a former player, who was active in the Brazilian league in the early 2000s, but returned to Korea in 2004 following joining the Jeonnam Dragons.

After that, he played for Suwon Samsung, Seongnam Ilhwa, Jeonbuk Hyundai, and Daejeon Citizen, and finished playing in the Indonesian League from 2011 to 2014.

He also served as a youth representative and Olympic representative, and now he is giving soccer lessons in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, through his social media.

Kim Sang-deok also introduced the meeting with Alves through his social media, saying, “My friend Daniel, whom I met following 20 years. I saw him as a real Brazilian national team player.”

Kim Sang-deok also released a photo of his soccer academy students and Auvez together, and wrote, “I hope it was a good experience for our children as well.”
