In a statement, picked up by the press, the portfolio reports that the new variant was identified in a 39-year-old patient in the city of Sao Paulo, who had mild symptoms.
“The ministry maintains constant monitoring of the epidemiological scenario of covid-19 and reinforces the importance of complete vaccination to guarantee maximum protection against the virus,” he stressed.
