Coach Paulo Foiani: “CAHN has a strong force”
In the opening match of Night Wolf V.League 2023 tonight (February 3) at Hang Day Stadium, CAHN defeated the away team Topenland Binh Dinh 5-0.
The scorers in CAHN’s “5-star” victory were all foreign players Rodrigues (18 minutes), Jesus Silva (36 minutes penalty), Fred (69′, 81′, 82′).

Talking to the press during the post-match press conference, Brazilian coach Paulo Foiani of CAHN said: “I am very happy with the way the players performed in today’s match. Each player did his job well. me on the field.”
When the reporter asked regarding letting two Vietnamese players, Phan Van Duc and Ho Tan Tai, sit on the bench and just substitute at the end of the second half, coach Paulo Foiani replied:
“They are all national players with good football skills. The reason why I don’t let them start is because they have just returned from Vietnam and need more time to adapt to their teammates.
I think in the future, they will have more opportunities to play. What makes me most happy is that following a short time working with the team, I got to know the players better. On the contrary, they also understand what I want to convey, prepare for each match. That’s the important thing”.
The reporter asked regarding the fact that CAHN has a dream team and following the “5-star” victory, does the coach think CAHN is a strong candidate for the V.League championship in 2023? In response, coach Paulo Foiani expressed his opinion:
“I feel lucky to be leading a team with a strong force like CAHN. Each position has two good players, while each game I can only use one to start.
That’s why the players have to compete actively on the training ground and in every minute of the game to get a starting spot.
At this point, it’s still too early to say CAHN is the champion candidate. The new season has just begun and we and the other teams will improve even more.”
At V.League 2023, there are 3 teams, Hanoi Club, Viettel, and CAHN, all registered at Hang Day Stadium. Are you concerned that the quality of the pitch will affect the way CAHN plays? reporters asked and coach Paulo Foiani closed:
“It’s really a big challenge for CAHN. We have many technical players and need a good pitch to show our ability.
It’s raining like that today and if in this weather the 3 teams take turns kicking continuously on Hang Day Stadium, it’s hard to guarantee a good pitch.”
