Ookla, the company responsible for SpeedTest, released this Tuesday (6) a report that lists the best countries in terms of internet speed for remote work. The analysis considers factors such as download speed, upload speed, latency between data exchange and connection stability.
According to information, the test was carried out using the Speedtest Intelligence tool, evaluating the results of countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The article lists the locations that offer the best infrastructure for carrying out the home office with the possibility of a visa for employment — among the countries evaluated is Brazil.
According to the report, Thailand is the country with the highest fixed broadband internet speeds, with 196.20 Mbps download and 164.85 Mbps upload with latency of just 12 ms. Next comes Spain with 172.04 Mbps and 125.85 Mbps, respectively, while Romania ranks 3rd with 171.15 Mbps and 107.36 Mbps.
Brazil, in turn, appears in 9th place with averages of 100.38 Mbps download and 76.76 Mbps upload, in addition to latency of 19 ms. Although not positively surprising, this performance is enough for good internet browsing and streaming playback, if only one device is connected to the wireless network.
