On Friday evening, a fight was reported near Usingen train station.
At least three male persons were involved in this, who, after an initial verbal argument, attacked each other with fists and a sign. At least one of the participants suffered significant facial injuries.
As part of the search, a 16-year-old from Grävenwiesbach and a 19-year-old from Usingen were checked and identified as participants in the fight. The third participant is currently still unknown.

Money stolen by force

A 31-year-old woman from Offenbach had an Uber driver drive her to Friedrichsdorf early Friday afternoon. After the woman was not dropped off at her desired destination, a verbal argument broke out between the two people. After the woman had left the vehicle, the driver also got out, grabbed her by the left arm and snatched her wallet from her hands. The driver then got back into his vehicle and drove away.

Attempted break-in in single-family home

Two unknown male perpetrators entered the fenced-in property of a single-family home on Le-Mele-Straße via a garage. They were observed by a neighbor. The perpetrators tampered with a wooden door to the basement, but did not get into the house. They then let go of the basement door and fled on foot into the adjacent wooded area. From there they were able to escape undetected, despite an immediate manhunt involving several patrol cars. One of the perpetrators was described as follows: male, 185 cm tall, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a backpack. Minor damage was caused to the door. An unknown perpetrator gained access to the underground car park of an apartment building on Hessenring in a previously unknown manner. Here, the perpetrator used an unknown cutting tool to cut the folding lock of a Cube racing bike. He then took the bike and left in an unknown direction.

Unknown perpetrators probably destroyed the lock and stole the bike, so that when the victim returned, he could no longer find his bike.

Drunk driver hits pedestrian on zebra crossing

On Saturday evening, a traffic accident occurred at a pedestrian crossing in Grävenwiesbach.
A 76-year-old car driver from Grävenwiesbach failed to see a 44-year-old pedestrian from Schmitten who was about to cross the street at the pedestrian crossing near the financial center. She was slightly injured and had to be taken to hospital for further treatment.
When the accident was recorded, it was determined that the car driver was under the influence of alcohol. A blood sample was taken and his driving license was confiscated.
