Bravos de Margarita beat Tigres de Aragua for the second consecutive day and already has two wins on its return to the Nueva Esparta stadium, after four seasons of absence.
The insular troop defeated the Bengalis this Wednesday with a score of 7-2, guided by the offensive production of Wilson Ramos and Rayder Ascanio, combined with a good performance by their pitchers.
Although the visiting team took the lead on the scoreboard in the first chapter with one run, “the war machine” headed the conquest with four scores in the second act.
Ramos drove one with a ground ball to the shortstop and on that same play he reached base on a fielder’s choice. Then Ascanio hit a home run to make the lead 3-1, while Edward Olivares drove in the fourth with a hit to left field.
In the fifth inning, Wilson Ramos took the ball out of the left field for a 6-1 partial. In the sixth it was Juan Santana who gave an indisputable RBI to make it 7-1 in favor of those led by José Moreno.
Yonathan Mendoza hit a streak in the ninth inning to decorate the score and make the final 7-2.
The victory went to starter Osmer Morales (2-2), who pitched five innings in which he only allowed one run. Cuban Yoanner Negrín was defeated (0-2).
Ramos went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, three RBIs and the home run. Ascanio closed 4-2 with the full return blow, with a score and a couple of charters.
Consecutive triumphs
Bravos beat Tigres 10-2 on Tuesday and with this Wednesday they have two wins in a row. Now they have a 7-8 record and are provisionally tied with Navegantes del Magallanes (7-8) and Leones del Caracas (6-7), waiting for what these two teams do against Caribes de Anzoátegui and Tiburones de La Guaira , respectively.
