Gabriel Johan Misiewicz-Myhre (15) and Noah Østerhus Ask (16) became unexpected heroes on Saturday afternoon when they were the first to respond to a serious accident involving a jet ski off⁢ the island of Talgje in Ryfylke, according to Stavanger Aftenblad.

Misiewicz-Myhre alerted the newspaper at 4:13 ‌PM, detailing the incident. He ⁣wrote, “Ugly jet ski accident⁣ in Ryfylke outside ​Talgje. The person is safe, but ​the jet ski was split in two and was sinking. Two⁢ 16-year-old ⁤boys were first on the scene and rescued the individual.”

The teenagers swiftly contacted a crane boat to assist‌ in retrieving the man from the ‌water.

“The⁣ boys understood that they had contributed to saving a life‍ and were incredibly proud​ of their‍ actions,” shared Maren ‍Eide, the family’s welfare lawyer. “For their parents, ⁢it’s comforting to know ‍that their sons made ‌a significant⁣ effort for others before their tragic passing.”

Eide added, “They are very proud⁢ of their boys, who kept their composure and acted appropriately in such a challenging situation.”

Tragically, ⁢the two young heroes ‍from Ullandhaug in Stavanger were discovered lifeless in the sea on​ Sunday evening. Earlier that day, a severely‌ damaged jet ski was also located in the vicinity.
