The event will be held between December 15th and 17th, at the BRB Mané Garrincha Arena, and should bring together major attractions from the tourist industry and activities for the public

The National Tourism Exhibition is regarding to return. The celebration of Brazilian tourism is scheduled for the 15th, 16th and 17th of December, at Arena BRB Mané Garrincha. The expectation is that around 10 thousand visitors per day will enjoy a diversity of tourist experiences, consolidating the sector as a fundamental part of the national economy.

The event promises not only cultural presentations and regional gastronomy, but also a knowledge center, dedicated to informative lectures regarding the sector, attracting the public to learn and delve deeper into the tourism industry.

Among the attractions prepared by the DF Tourism Secretariat (Setur-DF), there will be an exhibition of Oscar Niemeyer’s works, with photos and the design of Brasília, highlighting the capital’s title as City of Design, granted by the United Nations for the Education, Science and Culture (Unesco). Brasília will be represented in the 5 axes of the Exhibition: cultural, rural, natural, trends and sun and beach.

“We are closing the year in a positive way for tourism in Brasília, welcoming the National Tourism Exhibition with open arms. This event is an opportunity to present our capital, to show everything we have to offer, and will bring significant movement towards the end of the year for the entire trade, making a difference in the economy, a work that has the support of Governor Ibaneis Rocha”, says the DF Tourism Secretary, Cristiano Araújo.

The Setur-DF stand will be prepared to receive visitors with the distribution of informative material regarding the city and its Administrative Regions, with trained professionals to provide guidance on the capital’s attractions. There will also be an experience with 3D glasses, allowing visitors to take a tour of the city through virtual reality.

The National Tourism Hall will occupy an impressive 25,000 square meters of space, offering visitors the unique opportunity to explore some of Brazil’s best tourist attractions. Gastronomy will also be highlighted. The event will feature a food court with a variety of options, bringing together big names in gastronomy from the Cerrado and the states of the country.

The expectation for Brasília’s tourist segments is positive. The president of the Union of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Similar Services of Brasília (Sindhobar), Jael Silva, highlighted the importance of the event. “The Tourism Hall is an event that will replace Brasília as the capital of all Brazilians and at the center of national tourism. For us, this event is of utmost importance, because we, in the segments of hotels, restaurants, bars, etc., are going to show the strength of our gastronomy and reinforce what we have been trying to do over the last few years, which is to show that we are the third gastronomic hub in Brazil”.
