Newcomer singer Boy Warongan, through his solo project with the moniker Boyway & The Palmeiros, has officially released his debut single entitled Juang Angan which can be heard on various music streaming platforms.
In a press statement, quoted on Thursday (4/4), the single Juang Angan was the last creative work created by the late Ade Paloh before he died on March 19 2024.
In this project, Ade Paloh acts as a songwriter and music producer.
Before he died, Ade Paloh explained that the single Juang Angan was originally written as a work for the band SORE. However, later, he gave the work to be performed by Boy Warongan, who is his fan.
In terms of lyrics, this song contains a message of optimism in viewing failure as strengthening a struggle.
“Regarding the call to never give up in every failure, that even if we die in failure, at least we have tried and that’s where we have won in everything,” said Ade Paloh, at that time.

Boy Warongan is a politician and academic who currently still serves as Deputy Chair of Commission 1 of the Pematang Siantar City DPRD and a lecturer in FISIP at the University of North Sumatra.
Boy’s love for the band SORE led him to meet Ade Paloh, who was mediated by Abdullah Yusro from Setengah Lima Records.
After some time, they agreed to collaborate to release the song Juang Angan as Boy’s debut single.

“The work on this single started when my wife and I watched the SORE concert in Jakarta in 2022,” said Boy Warongan.
He added, “The universe then brought me together with Ade Paloh, who then encouraged me to enter the world of music by performing one of his works.”
Not only assisted by Ade Paloh, the creation of the single Juang Angan was also assisted by a number of young musicians, including Viqi Fauzi and Theodoros Ibnu Aziz from the band Magnolia Celebration, who provided guitar and bass on the single.
Apart from that, Andrian Hendry and Benie Siregar helped strengthen this project by providing guitar and drum sounds in it.
The process of working on the single Juang Angan took place at Lontar Studio, where SORE usually records their works. Then, this single was released under the Half Five Records label. (Ant/Z-1)
