From October 12 to 18, the ‘Boyacá Mission to New York’ will be held in development of the department’s internationalization strategy to attract foreign investment.
Tunja, October 10, 2022. (UACP). Boyacá advances in the internationalization strategy as an engine for business development.
For this purpose, 60 businessmen and entrepreneurs from the department will participate in one of the largest trade missions in Colombia, just as Expo-Dubai was the previous year.
The ‘Boyacá Mission’ at the International Flower Festival in New York (United States) will be attended by sectors such as emeralds, coffee, pharmaceutical products, hotels, tourism, panela, honey, flowers, blueberries, medicinal cannabis, pastries and handicrafts. In addition, megaprojects for the department will be presented.
“It is regarding joining efforts so that the initiatives of the department have an echo, in order to benefit the businessmen of Boyacá and make the products of our field known for export purposes. Projects will also be presented to attract investment”, explained Alejandro Mejía, director of Investment and Commerce of the Government of Boyacá.
“The Government will support the participation in the event and the creation of an agenda in coordination with Pro-Colombia and the IDB. The different production lines that will be part of this international mission are welcome. We have faith that this project will be a complete success”, mentioned Carlos Julio Velandia, secretary of Business Development.
Events will be held such as:
– Government agenda.
– Business conference.
– Commercial sample.
