Accompanied by his father Steven Beauparlant, the boy named Hunter was in the front rows near the rink to see the Canadian’s players at work during the warm-up session. According to the father who spoke on Twitter, his son tried to seize a puck thrown at him by striker Nick Suzuki; however, he was unable to catch her and even suffered a lip injury while trying to catch her.

As The Athletic site reported on Twitter, Suzuki went off the ice to hand him an autographed stick, which the main interested party liked. Steven Beauparlant also underlined that by noting the misfortune of this young amateur, the hockey player wanted to ensure that Hunter did indeed have an unforgettable memory in his hands.

On the other hand, the rest of the evening was less rosy. An employee then allegedly approached the father and his son to advise them that they might not stay in the arena with the stick in hand, as it was considered a weapon. The duo preferred to leave the premises with the famous object in their possession.

The following?

The story might have a sequel, because both the Canadian and the Leafs risk adding their two cents. In Montreal, the organization is studying the file, according to the TSN network. We will have to see if the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge will take the lead by inviting the Beauparlants to the Bell Centre.

In Toronto, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment’s director of customer service, Mike Wendling, also took to Twitter to ask the child’s father to contact him privately.
