Anne Marcotte believed she had managed to carve out a place on the Canadian women’s boxing team for the World Boxing Championships in early February in Ontario, when she became Canadian champion at 50 kg. What she didn’t know at the time was that Boxing Canada had already ruled that no Canadian athlete would go to India.
