Bowers & Wilkins is known for high quality premium headphones and speakers. At the beginning of 2021, the manufacturer proved this with its first true wireless headphones. The new generation PI7 S2 and PI5 S2 are now available for purchase.
At the same time as the market launch of the new ones, the in-ears B&W PI5 available at a reduced price from Otto and cost just 116 euros in white. Is the offer worth it? And what can the headphones do?
Bowers & Wilkins PI5: Inexpensive alternative to the PI7
With the PI5, Bowers & Wilkins not only has chic, but also excellent sounding ones In ear headphones brought on the market. You get a lot for the price: not only the sound, but also the high-quality workmanship and decent noise canceling make the in-ears really good everyday companions. Even compared to the more expensive ones B&W PI7 the cheaper version sounds impressively good. No wonder, since both models are equipped with 9.2 millimeter drivers in the earphones.
However, the PI5 has to make small cuts in terms of noise canceling and the lack of setting options – this is where the Bowers & Wilkins PI7 have the edge. Overall, they scored True wireless headphones the overall grade “very good” (8.5). Compared to the competition, the PI5 can definitely assert itself.

Conclusion: Is the offer worth it?
For a price reduction of over 50 percent, the in-ears are a real bargain and offer optimal value for money. If you consider that the in-ears have an RRP of around 249 euros, the current offer at Otto is unbeatable. Compared to the more expensive ones PI7 the in-ears do not perform particularly badly and can definitely be seen (and heard) next to their big brother. They are therefore a good choice if you are looking for quality in-ear headphones with excellent sound and good ANC.
