A increase in the cost of packages will soon be felt by most consumers. It will affect both the mobile plan and the fixed plan. All telecom operators, except Free, are concerned.
According to theUFC-QUE Choose, Orange, SFR and Bouygues will increase (or have already done so) the amount of their packages for both new and current customers. The cause ? L’inflation always, which causes an increase in operating costs that the operators have decided to transfer to the price of their offers.
What increases to expect?
The amount of these price increases depends on the type of subscription you subscribe to. Overall, they range from a few tens of cents to several euros per month.
Among the operators, it is Bouygues which was the first to increase its prices, even sending its customers an email explaining the situation. In concrete terms, the increases should be between one and two euros on each of its landline and mobile plans.
As for SFR, the operator has decided not to inform its customers, but the increases are nevertheless less strong than with its competitor. They will thus be between €0.69 and €0.99 per month.
Chez Orange, we guarantee not to increase our prices before March or April. However, prices will be reassessed at an extra euro or two depending on packages.
