Bournemouth sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa on loan – Yahoo News

Aug 29 (Reuters) – Bournemouth have signed Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on a season-long loan, the Premier League clubs said on Thursday.

Kepa, 29, who had entered the final year of his contract, also extended his deal with Chelsea until 2026, ensuring he does not leave the club without a transfer fee at the end of his loan spell at Bournemouth.

The Spanish international was loaned to Real Madrid last season, where he made 20 appearances, replacing the injured Thibaut Courtois and helping the team win La Liga and the Champions League.

Kepa joined Chelsea in August 2018 for £71 million ($93.61 million), making him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. With Chelsea he won the Europa League in 2019, the Champions League two years later and the Club World Cup in 2022.
