On Saturday at the 9th Bounce Fight Night in Vienna, Stefan Nikolic lost the fight for the WBF Intercontinental title once morest Julio Cesar Calimero from Colombia with a technical knockout. He lasted seven rounds before his coach had to throw in the towel before the eighth round began.
“In the fourth lap I felt my eardrum burst. Then I had trouble with my balance,” Nikolic then apologized to the fans in an ORF interview.
Nader with a successful comeback
Marcos Nader, on the other hand, celebrated a successful comeback in the ring. The 32-year-old middleweight athlete defeated Hungary’s Krisztian Santa K. o. following 2:20 minutes.
“Of course, that wasn’t the class of opponents I usually have. It was a struggle to build. I was knocked out very, very hard here five months ago and I was very tense because of that,” said Nader, who added: “It would be great to attack once more at the top, it’s my very last chance. If I don’t use it, that’s it, I’m not the youngest any more.”
His second build-up battle will follow on December 3rd, following which it should be regarding a title once more.
