Boston Pops Begin Performances at Symphony Hall – NECN New England

Boston’s December festivities kick off Thursday night with the Holiday Pops Orchestra’s first concert of the season with the Tanglewood Choir.

The nights of Mexican posadas will be represented for the first time on the historic stage of the Symphony Hall, in an adaptation of the typical songs, composed by the Mexican musician, Arturo Rodriguez.

“It is a huge cultural hug, which goes from both sides. We are sharing this tradition and I have to convert it as a composer through music,” says Rodríguez.

The presentation will take place every day from December 1 to December 24 at Symphony Hall.

The Boston Pops will also dedicate a musical space to Ukraine, and there will be no shortage of traditional Christmas songs from every year.

In total they will present 34 concerts, the majority in Boston, but they will also perform in Worcester and Lowell… as well as in the city of Storrs in Connecticut and Manchester, New Hampshire.
