Like every night this week, the NBA announced the winner of one of the end-of-season awards before the start of the Playoff games. This Thursday, honor to the substitutes with the Sixth Man of the Year trophy, and it was Malcolm Brogdon who left with the reward.

With 60 votes for first place out of 100 and 408 points overall, Brogdon was quite well ahead of Quickley (326 points) and Portis (97).
As a symbol, it is a Boston player who wins the John Havlicek Trophy, named in honor of the Celtics legend who began his magnificent career as the sixth man.
It’s a deserved reward for Malcolm Brogdon, who unleashed a campaign in 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists average in 26 minutes off the bench, all with pure efficiency (48% shooting, 44% 3-pointers, 87% free throws). Clearly, the 30-year-old point guard has been part of the Celtics’ hyper-solid season, second best in the NBA with 57 wins and second in the League in offensive and defensive efficiency. When he entered the field to assist Marcus Smart and Derrick White on the backcourt, Boston never wavered. Brogdon continued to turn the machine, further fluidizing the formidable collective of the Greens through his game intelligence and his experience.
After the title of Rookie of the Year won in 2019 with Milwaukee, Brogdon can now add an additional award to his trophy cabinet.
