The Boston Celtics lost the third game of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. The club from the east of the USA had to admit defeat to the Miami Heat at home with 103:109 (47:62).
Boston – The Celtics are 1: 2 behind in the best-of-seven series around German basketball player Daniel Theis, who only managed one point. Boston therefore urgently needs a win on Monday to keep the dream of the NBA Finals alive. Whoever wins four games first advances.
The guests started the game very well and dominated the first quarter with 39:18 with returnee Kyle Lowry, who missed the last four games. In the second half, the Heat extended their lead to 62:37 just before half-time.
Led by the outstanding Jason Tatum, who scored 40 points, the hosts came within a point at the end of the last quarter. But the Heat, who were missing Jimmy Butler with a knee injury in the second half, put the lead over time. dpa
