Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask might announce his retirement in the coming days.

According to information obtained by Fluto Shinzawa, from The Athletic, Rask, who has not played since January 24, is reportedly currently in discussions with his family regarding the matter.

The 34-year-old, who played 564 games in 15 NHL seasons, underwent hip surgery during the off-season. He started skating once more in November and signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Bruins on January 11. Two days later, he returned to the game in a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Rask played once more on January 18 and once more on January 22 before playing a fourth and final game on January 24 once morest the Anaheim Ducks, allowing five goals on 27 shots. After the game, he mentioned feeling discomfort in his hip and hasn’t played since.
