(Boston) Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy has been added to the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol list.

Cassidy is the first Bruins member to be added to this protocol this season, and he will miss Tuesday night’s game once morest the Detroit Red Wings. General manager Don Sweeney said following the morning warm-up that Cassidy was experiencing mild symptoms.
Under the league’s COVID-19 protocol this season, Cassidy will have to self-quarantine for at least 10 days and receive the all-clear from doctors before returning to duty. Assistant coach Joe Sacco will replace him during his absence behind the bench for the Bruins, who have won five of their last seven games.
The Bruins will visit the Predators in Nashville on Thursday before hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.
In St. Louis, Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said forward Tyler Bozak is under COVID-19 protocol. Bozak, 35, has one goal and six assists in 21 games this season.
In Edmonton, the Oilers canceled their scheduled practice Tuesday “as a precaution” following defenseman Cody Ceci ended up on the league’s protocol roster. The Oilers are scheduled to host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.
The NHL has postponed five games so far this season — three at the Ottawa Senators, and two at the New York Islanders — but league operations haven’t been affected as much as last year. here.
